Mongolia has received the right to host the 2020 Asian Judo Championships. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Judo Union of Asia (JUA) which was held on 23rd May in Hong Kong. B.Pagva, Director of the Disciplinary Committee of the JUA and M.Munkhbat, an Olympic-class judo referee attended the meeting. 

The Asian Judo Championships 2017 will take place in Hong Kong on 26th-28th May.  

Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates will host the event in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
