The Mongolian Parliament has approved the first ever legal action for the younger generation – the Law on Youth Development. The law was approved on 18th of May, after being presented by N.Nomtoibayar, Minister of Labour and Social Protection. Under the law, a fund for youth development will be established for supporting young people financially.
Young people, aged between 15-34, constitute 35.5 percent of the population, therefore the MP’s appreciated the arrival of the first independent law to regulate their social roles and responsibilities. The Law on Youth Development encompassing 7 articles and 24 clauses will take effect from 1st January 2018.
