Mongolia is to host the East Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship from 20th to 26th of May. This important event will take place at the Buyant-Ukhaa sport complex, located near Ulaanbaatar’s International Airport. The best volleyball teams from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Macao, North Korea and Hong Kong as well as Mongolia will participate in the competition. The teams are to be divided into two sections; Mongolia is in ‘A’ section.

The first match will begin with North Korea and Hong Kong on 20th of May at 01.00 p.m. Mongolia will play against South Korea on the same day at 07.00 p.m.

The Mongolian women’s volleyball team won silver at the East Asian Championship in 2000 and bronze in 2008. The competition has been held since 1998.
