Prime Minister S.Batbold is on an official visit to United Arab Emirates between January 8 and 10. The Deputy Prime Minister, Oil Minister and other officials welcomed the Premier and the delegates that accompanied him at the airport of Abu Dhabi City.  
United Arab Emirates is the fastest developing economy based on oil. President of Mongolia had previously paid official visit to the country before and this is the first visit of the Premier.
In the first day of the official visit, S.Batbold met Sheikh Ahmed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and discussed cooperation issue in broader frame. In the beginning of meeting S.Batbold introduced Mongolia’s economic and political situation, and cooperation pacts made with two neighboring countries. He expressed Mongolia’s interest learn from fast development the Emirates, a country with little population and small market, before suggesting to cooperate in large projects of infrastructure. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is studying for methods to develop relations with Mongolia and to cooperate in good projects. He was interested in Mongolia’s foreign trade, freight and taxation tariffs. In conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to discuss about cooperation in the near future.
Established in 1971, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has capital fund of USD630 million and ranked first in 2010 among State Property Funds. ADIA is the world’s second biggest institutional investor, behind only the Bank of Japan, according to the Oxford Business Group. ADIA is the largest state-owned sovereign wealth fund in the world, with the Government Pension Fund of Norway in second place.
Later on the same day, Crown Sheikh and Deputy Commander of Emirates Armed Forces General Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and officials of Prime Minister’s Office paid visit to Premier S.Batbold. During the meeting officials talked about developing Mongolia-Emirates relations and collaboration in wide scope, informed the Government Media Office.
