President Ts.Elbegdorj, Speaker D.Demberel
and Prime Minister S.Batbold received on December 21 heads of all diplomatic
missions and international organizations in Ulaanbaatar in the state ceremony
hall with nine white flags.

The President said the annual event was
important because it allowed a review of the year soon to end. He thanked
everybody for supporting Mongolia overcome the last dzud and hoped for
continued collaboration as the national economy grew. Mongolia’s foreign
relations are transparent and are based on mutual respect and a quest for peace.

The President stressed the need to arrest
climate change and noted Mongolia would be chairing the Democratic Countries
Cooperation Association from July,f 2011 for two years. This would reaffirm Mongolia’s
commitment to democracy and raise Mongolia’s reputation in the international
arena.

The German Ambassador and Doyen of the Diplomatic
Corps, Pius Fischer, spoke on behalf of the guests and noted how the President
has significantly contributed to human rights, and to struggle against corruption
and for judicial reforms. The President’s official visits to Japan and some European
countries, and his speech at the Asian-European Summit in Brussels had confirmed
Mongolia’s peaceful resolves.
