The
working group that is preparing “Mongol Citizen-2020”, a comprehensive economic
development program adopted at the 32nd meeting of the DP National Consultative
Committee, met yesterday with 80% of its members in attendance. It discussed
the group’s structure and staff needs, and also its work plan. It resolved to
divide its work into five main areas: health; education and profession;
business and employment; security of life and work; and human rights and
freedom. N.Boldbaatar, Chief of the Communication and Technology Board, was
appointed head of the sub-group on education; N.Badarsan od that on business; N.Gantulga
that on life and work; and N.Batmagnai that on health.

The working group will meet every week untll the 33rd meeting of the National
Consultative Committee in January, 2011. The final program will be ready after
taking the opinion of academics and experts, and after a public debate.          

The DP wants a comprehensive policy covering all fields at the same time, with emphasis
on the individual, as the party believes it is prosperous citizens that make a
prosperous state, as against the MPP slogan: “If the state is affluent the
citizens would be affluent”.
