The Ulaanbaatar City Construction and Urban Planning
Board is going ahead with plans to build apartments for rent in five areas of
the city, and at the same time to move people
away from the city to ease the pressure on its infrastructure. Work on the
first apartments for 300 households is set
to begin in Sukhbaatar district. The Board wants to extend the city to
Buyant-Ukhaa and Yarmag in the south, to Urgakh Naran in the east, to Doloon Buudal
in the north and to Bayangol in the west.
