Sayed, until recently country manager and resident representative for the World
Bank in Mongolia, has left the Bank after more than 15 years to join Peabody
Energy, the biggest U.S. coal miner, as president of its Mongolia and India
unit. “Arshad has extensive experience in Mongolia and India, and he brings
with him strong relationships in the region that will allow him to advance
Peabody”s Asian growth initiatives,” said Peabody president Richard
Navarre, announcing the appointment.
