A
Mongolian Parliamentary delegation is now in India for a five-day visit to New Delhi
and Calcutta, now called Kolkata. In Delhi, it paid homage to the memory of Mahatma
Gandhi, called “the father of the nation” because of his role in the country’s independence
movement, at his memorial complex.

The
team is led by Speaker D.Demberel and includes the head of both the MPP and the
DP groups in Parliament, D.Lundeejantsan and Ch.Saikhanbileg respectively. Its
other members are the head of Mongolia-India Parliamentary Group, D.Odbayar,
MPs R.Gonchigdorj, D.Terbishdagva and S.Oyun, the Secretary-General of the
President’s Office, Ts.Sharavdorj, other officials and a media group.
