A Mongolia-Thailand
business forum was held in Bangkok on December 7 as part of the official visit
of Foreign Minister G.Zandanshatar to Thailand. It was organized jointly by the
Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (FIFTA) at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Trade of Mongolia, Thailand”s Investment Department and its Chamber
of Commerce.
The Deputy Secretary-General of Thailand’s Investment Department, Mrs. Anchara,
congratulated officials of both sides, and business representatives who
attended the forum and stressed the need for bilateral economic cooperation and
investment support.
Zandanshatar noted that the forum would provide the two countries’ businessmen with
definite information about the investment. He called for investment and cooperation
in mining, energy, tourism, food industry and health sectors.
FIFTA Chief B.Ganzorig gave a detailed overview of the business environment in
Mongolia, including opportunities and incentives from the Government. He then
took questions from participants.
