Mayor G.Munkhbayar has signed a cooperation agreement  with the Social Democracy Youth Union of
Mongolia to implement a program to clean up the Selbe River. The first phase of
the map program will cover three months and include the area from the bridge
100 ail to the bridge Arslantai. The final goal is to clean some  10,000 hectares in the river basin.

Both the President of the organization, B.Bayarmagnai, and
the Mayor expressed hope that proper environmental protection would mitigate
the water problem predicted for Ulaanbaatar. Surface water can be used in
toilets in new apartments.
