The Traffic Management Center has repaired 46 cross traffic lights and set up 26  cameras at crossroads since June to collect traffic data. Kh.Gansukh, of its media department, says that the center has no enforcing authority and passes on all infringments of traffic rules caught on camera to the Traffic Police and Public Transportation Board. More than 10,000 violations were recorded in October.
He felt traffic movement is now easier and vehicles travel at more speed than a year ago, but exact measures of improvement are not possible to give.
