MPP 26th General Assembly is still working on selection of Primary Conference members. Delegates have been unhappy with the Managing Council’s way of selecting the 310 delegates and prolonged talks lasting until the small hours of the morning have not resolved the differences. It has been decided that today’s talks will end with a secret vote. The Assembly was scheduled to end on Saturday.
The number of PC members has been raised from 252 to 310, according to the new rules which provide for one PC member to represent 500 party members. The MPP has more than150,000 members. Each of the 32 members of the Managing Council (MC) would represent 5,000 party members.
