talked of the performance of the coalition government this year. Now Erdenes
Tavantolgoi LLC has been established as the daughter company of Erdenes MGL. It
will have 15 billion shares, 10% of which would be distributed free among
citizens, 10% more will be sold to national economic entities at a fixed price,
and 30% will be sold in domestic and foreign exchanges to raise funds. If 1.5
billion shares are for the people, every citizen stands to own about 500 shares,
though the exact number will be known only after the new registration.
International share sales will provide the funds for large projects to take the
economy forward. Much of the work would, however, be done by the next
Government.
Another important need is to produce value added products and the the
Tavantolgoi coal would be processed in Sainshand and exported through neighbor
countries. A working group led by Deputy Minister of Road, Transportation and
Urban Development A.Gansukh is negotiating with Russia on cheaper
transportation rates for 25 years.
