celebrate the 2220th anniversary of the first Mongolian Nomadic State, President
Ts.Elbegdorj has said “The Modun shaniyu fought and united the nomadic aimags
in 209 BC and established a powerful Khunnu State in Central Asia. It took
several significant measures to establish order in a nomadic lifestyle and was
in existence for more than 300 years. The state structure, both civil and
military, was the model for Chinggis Khaan’s Great Mongol State, just as the
Khunnus were the ancestors of present-day Mongolians”.
The decree urges people to learn more about their nation’s proud history. Only
this can inspire future success. As part of the observance of the present
anniversary, next year should see work begin on the planned Center of World
Nomadic History and Culture.
