Mongolia was China’s top source
of unprocessed molybdenum ore in August, the latest figures from the General Administration
of Customs of China show. However, this was less than 10% of China’s total
import of 1,982 metric tons of molybdenum ore and concentrate in the month,
which was down 67.62% year on year. Of this amount, 1,839 mt consisted of
roasted ore and concentrate, while just 143 mt was unprocessed. Mongolia was
the source of 107 mt of this.
