The Government
meeting yesterday approved the national program Health that aims to increase
the average life expectancy, to take health services to international standards
and to encourage adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
The program has the following major directions:
• Providing health care according to demand
• Use and popularization of latest techniques and
technologies
• Achieving gender equality
• Adopting appropriate regulatory measures
• Encouraging collaboration among the government, NGOs,
and the private sector.
The program will be implemented in two phases, the first in 2010-2015, and the
second in 2016-2021.
