M.Enkhbold has told the UN Permanent Representative in Mongolia, Ms. Sesine Sinanoglug, that the Government
will this week introduce its preparation work
for the 2010-2011 winter to all UN and other international organization offices, and diplomatic
missions. After the devastation of the last dzud, the Government appealed to UN
and other international organizations for aid and received help worth more than
MNT20 billion from them.
The forecast for this year is that there will be heavy snow in December and the
winter would be severe. The Government has taken several measures to blunt the
impact of any crisis. Herders have also made their winter preparation.
