The School of Mining at the Mongolian University of Science
and Technology is holding a seminar on October 7 on The Asset Management
Process, with Dr.Rob Hall from the University of British Columbia in the chair.
It will provide a four-hour interactive introduction to asset management,
including such features as best practices, challenges and pitfalls in effective
management of mining assets (the focus being equipment.)   The topics to be covered
include Key Performance Indicators, Common Tools for Management and Improvement
of Assets, and will include examples based on data from large surface mining
operations.
