The South Korean Government is expected to send as many as 100 retired or retiring local experts in water and sewage management, agriculture, engineering and other fields to 19 developing countries, including
The overseas postings, which officially last from six months to a year, are extendable to up to three years.
The experts will be flying to their foreign destinations as early as May. They will be given a salary of USD52,000 to about USD70,000 to cover their living expenses, on top of flight tickets and insurance.
Assignments include helping develop a water management system for Azerbaijan’s Environment Ministry, improve the weather forecast system in Vietnam and create telecommunication policies in Mongolia.
