Gregory Goldhawk has
presented his letter of credentials as Ambassador of Canada to President
Ts.Elbegdorj. Canada is the second largest investor in Mongolia, after China,
and Goldhawk has said one of his priorities would be to conclude an agreement
on mutual support and protection of investments.
He succeeds Mrs. Anna Biolik who had been Ambassador since 2008. When she paid
a farewell call on Prime Minister S.Batbold before returning home, Batbold noted
that she was the very first Ambassador of Canada to be based in Mongolia, and
appreciated the significant contribution she made to the furtherance of bilateral relations and wished her success in her career.
