Deputy Prime Minister M. Enkhbold, who is also Chief of
the National Emergency Commission, will
supervise the work of disinfecting areas in Khan-Uul district where a
poultry farm has been identified as the source of a
contagious bird disease “Newcastle,” the first time in the country”s
history. The Government has earmarked MNT125 million for
the work and the Mayor has been asked to
take all necessary measures without delay.
The farm has already been asked to begin disinfection
and to destroy the affected birds and all eggs it had.
