The consular consultative
meeting between  Mongolia and Republic of
Korea was held on Wednesday. The two sides were led by D.Gankhuyag and Peg Ju
Heong respectively. Both are heads of the consular department in their Foreign
Ministry.

The Mongolian side expressed
its positions and put forward proposals on implementation of previously
discussed issues, on realization of contracts and agreements on consular ties
and on facilitating visiting terms of peoples of the two countries.

The Korean side raised issues
of protecting civil rights of Koreans in Mongolia, providing Mongolian citizens
married to Koreans with help, of ensuring that Mongolian students in Korea got
the right certificates, updating the agreement on using airspace and of
prolonging Koreans’ visa terms here.

The sides underlined that
Mongolia-Korea relations have been developing under the principle of good
neighborliness, friendship and cooperation partnership, and that mutual visits
have been increasing. “Our cooperation in consular sector is widening with
effectiveness in protecting citizens” interests thanks to a regularity of
consular consultative meetings,” the two sides stressed.
