finished Khaan Quest 2010.
What are the plans
for next year’s training exercise?
We expect to have participation from all the countries that were here. We plan
to work more on implementing engineering and civic works with support of the US
Pacific Command.
What
is the most difficult problem facing peacekeepers?
Natural disasters like floods and earthquakes are
occurring in so many countries. Peacekeepers
have to be ready to work in all climatic conditions. Khaan Quest – 2010 emphasized
this need for soldiers to works in rain or shine. Security needs remain
paramount. I was very happy with our detachments’ work in Afghanistan and this year’s training will make Mongolian
troops even more competent.
