A consultative meeting of Mongolian and German Foreign
Affairs Ministries was held last week in Ulaanbaatar. The Mongolian side was
led by D.Tsogtbaatar, State Secretary at the Ministry, while S.Nunn, of the
Asian Desk in the Ministry, headed the German delegation. Both said after
the meeting that bilateral ties were strong and ready to be extended.
The meeting discussed
issues of economic cooperation and
ratified the offer and terms of German support for projects in infrastructure
and mining, and collaboration in education. It also reviewed global and
regional policy.
