According to imformation from the State Apartment Corporation (SAC), there are 27000 applicants seeking to be enrolled in the apartment rental scheme. But there is a hitch; there are only 350 apartments available. The solution is to select the “winning” tenants by lottery. Later today (7^th March), the SAC management team will make an official announcement regarding registration for future tenants: the registration process is expected to continue for fourteen days.

The maximum rental period will be five years, following which an extension may be approved based on prior circumstances. If the tenants not follow the rules they agreed on during the renting period, the SAC will confiscate the aparment as a penalty measure. So, even thought the contract term is five years, the contract will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
