The Minister of the Environment, Green Development and Tourism, N.Battsereg has had a meeting with the co-ordinator of the World Bank’s Mining Infrastructure Investment Support Project, Mr. Khairy Al Jamal.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged their opinions about the River Orkhon-Hydroelectricity Plant, the technical and economical feasibility study of the Shuren Hydroelectricity Plant and the Mongolian Government’s capacity to evaluate the environmental and social impact of these plants. The two sides plan to have a second meeting at the end of the March. Mr. Khairy Al Jamal also noted that the World Bank director, who is responsible for Mongolia would like to visit the country to discuss these projects.
