The ambulance center, the emergency call center, and the
police assistance cell have recently been brought together as part of a project
to streamline the monitoring and information network. All calls to 101 in an
emergency, or to 102 for police assistance, or to 103 for an ambulance will
connect the caller to an automatic machine recording the call. Responses will
now be prompter. The project has also installed cameras in 19 places to monitor
fire and crime, and short wave broadcasting stations in places in the
mountains. The network will also monitor traffic movement through cameras at 26
strategic points.

A South Korean company, LG CNS, has done the entire work
at a cost of USD13.5 million.
