This time last year, Mongolia was waiting its 3,000,0000th citizen. On 24th January 2015, a little girl by the name of Kh.Mongoljin was born in Dalanzadgad Soum in Uvurkhangai Province bringing the population to a round three million people. Little Mongoljin was given her name by the President.

Today, the State Registration and Statistical Authority informed that the population of Mongolia increased by 65,600 (2.2%), thereby reaching 3,061,600 by the end of 2015. During the year Mongolia welcomed 82150 new born babies, of which 1255 (1.5%) were born abroad.

The State Registration and Statistical Authority will shortly provide other statistical data, such as the 2015 death rate.
