The Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) has taken the acting secretary of the Democratic Party (DP), L.Erkhembayar, to court. The reason for this action is that the MPP accuses him of spreading information and saying that the MPP raised the mortgage rate from 8% to 20%. The Constitutional Court has noted the MPP’s complaint.
The initial court of the Bayangol, Songinokhairkhan and Khan-Uul districts received the complaint and, accordingly, on 11th January opened a civil case.
The MPP complaint to the court stated: “On 9th December, the acting secretary of the DP, L.Erkhembayar, spread false information via his twitter account. This information has besmirched and defamed the reputation of the MPP. Therefore, we demand to that the DP restore the MPP’s honor and to publically apologize for this action via twitter and the “Tsagiin Khurd” news program of the Mongolian National Broadcasting Television”.
