On the morning of 7th January, an earthquake of 3.8 magnitude took place in the extreme west of Mongolia. The earthquake occurred in the BulganSoum of Bayan-Ulgii Province at 05.29 am. The epicenter was 13km to the east of the administrative centre of the BulganSoum. This place is named “Khujirt”. The Institute of Geophysics informed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) about earthquake. The citizens of the Khujirt reported that they felttremours. Fortunately, no-one was hurt.
