Yesterday, the Governental, during its first session of 2016, approved a program called “Promoting Mongolia in Abroad”. The purposes of the program are to determine the directions of external promotion, to create a united regulatory and monitoring mechanism, which will providie support to multilateral cooperation globaly.

Mongolia is keen to bolster its state security and its international status whilst protecting its key interests via the “soft power” principle.

The “soft power” principle differs from a “balance of power”, which makes decisions on the basis of military and economical power. This approach will be an important part of the information which Mongolia wishes to show to the people of other countries, all of whom have different outlooks.
