A Mongolian citizen has attemped to illegally bring three Baikal Makarov air guns into the country. The incident took place on 17th December at 21.30 pm at the Altanbulag border crossing on the Russian border in the Selenge Province. The criminal was driving a“Hyundai Galloper”. During the document checking procedure, the driver’s behavior aroused the suspicion of the immigration officials.

Therefore, the staff of the General Office of Immigration conducted a detailed check, during which they, the staff found that the driver was carrying three Baikal Makarov 4.5mm caliber МP-654 pistols (serial numbers: Т1501798; Т15017992; and Т15017805). The General Custom House and General Intelligence Agency of Mongolia has started an investigation.
