Mongolian Transport Minister M.Zorigt has announced that: “The Ministry of Transportation has decided to import 200 buses from South Korea under preferential loan schemes. Under the plan, these buses will be imported over a period of five years. As a first step, the old buses will be withdrawn from service”.
Currently, there are 780 buses of all sizes, operated by 45 companies which have been in use for more than 8 years working on inter-city and country routes. The transportation standard states that the maximum permitted age of buses is 12 years.
