The President of Mongolia returned home from Paris on 3rd December where he had been attending the “United Nations Conference on Climate Change- COP 21”. The heads of 150 countries met for the first time, in order to conclude a joint agreement to protect the earth. President Elbegdorj made a speech at COP-21 in which he noted that the two main problems in the world today are terrorism and global warming. Therefore, he has appealed to other countries to fulfill their promises and responsibilities and also to consolidate their efforts in solving these problems.
In addition, Ms. I.Bokova, the Director General of UNESCO, has presented the Convention on UNESCO World Heritage Sites for Mongolia’s “Great Burkhan Khaldun Mountain and its Surrounding Sacred Landscape” to President Ts.Elbegdorj.
