On 27th November, the second meeting of foreign honorary consuls was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The Secretary General of the MFA, D.Gankhuyag, opened the meeting. The Director of the Consular Section, B.Bold, provided information about the operation of the consulates, and Deputy Director of the ASEM working group, L.Orgil provided informtaion about the preparations for ASEM. The Mongolian Honorary Consul in New Zealand, Ch.Munkhbat, spoke on behalf of the consuls.

Currently, Mongolia has appointed honorary consuls in 39 countries. The MFA appointed three new consuls in 2015 (Lithuania, Italy and Greece).
