A.Bekei, director of the Political Structure Standing Committee, has provided the following information:
-Parliament has approved the decision of the Constitution Court, related to the structure of the judiaciary. President Ts.Elbegdorj has put a veto on the decision. During what period of time must Parliament discuss the veto?
-Under law, a veto discussion must be in two weeks. First, the standing committee will discuss the veto, after which it will go to Parliament.
-The Constitutional Court or the President always vetoes Parliamentary decisions. Would you explain this?
– Both the President of Mongolia and Constitutional Court take these actions in accordance with their empowerment. The Parliament needs to work solidly on the approval of legislation.
