Mr R.Jigjid, the Mongolian Minister of Mining has provided the following statement regarding deep minng:

-In May 2015, when in Dubai, the Prime Minister signed an investment contract regarding underground mining. In addition, in co-operation with the “Oyu-Tolgoi Company”, we have organized a forum of supplier companies for the Oyu-Tolgoi Phase 2, underground development. Approximately, 600 companies have participated, of which, 250 were Mongolian companies. The Director of “Oyu-Tolgoi Company” has briefed me. He noted the following: “Currently, we are in the process of finding the investment capital, in which connection we have met about 20 international banks and financial organizations. Once these steps become clear, the boards of directors and shareholders will take the final decision; Therefore, I hope that, we will recieve good news, by the December 2015”.
