The Control and Prevention Center for Autism has conducted a study which has concluded that one in every 68 children is autistic.  The number of boys with autism is five times higher than girls. If it is true that 0.62% of the population has autism, this means that there might be as many as 18,000 people with the condition in Mongolia. Unfortunately, there is a lack of general information and a a shortage of expert staff and people trained in diagnosis Therefore, the “Autism Mongolia – AND” foundation has started a campaign named “Together with Autistic Children”, within the framework of which awareness and support works will be conducted among the population. “Together with Autistic Children” will continue until 15^th May 2016.
