The official visit President Ts.Elbegdorj in France began on 18th November. This visit is taking place to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and France.

During the welcoming ceremony, President Ts.Elbegdorj paid respect to the National Flag of the French Republic. The national anthems of Mongolia and France were played and a guard of honor paid respect to the Mongolian President.

The President of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher, received Mr Elbegdorj and thanked him for coming to France during the hard time following the Paris terrorist attacks of last week. Mr Larcher noted: “This visit is an historical event. The Mongolian President is meeting the President of Senate for the first time, in the period of over 100 years since Mongolian declared sovereignity in 1911.

At the end of the meeting, President Ts.Elbegdorj gave Gerard Larcher an official invitation from the Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament, Z.Enkhbold.
