The “City Tax Law” approved by the Parliament has been operating in the Mongolian capital since 1^st October. Under this law, everyone must pay a 1% tax, when buying alcoholic drinks, cigarettes or being served in hotels, resorts and other such places. The City Tax must be transferred to the State Budget on 10^th November. In order to provide comprehensive information about the city tax to both companies and the public, a website has been set up (www.ubtax.mn).
