The birthday of Chinggis Khaan will be celebrated on 12^th November, Thursday this year. According to the “Public Celebration Law” (Provision 4.1.8) the every first lunar month of winter is marked as the “Birthday of Chinggis Khaan”; it is also called “Mongolian Pride Day”. According to the “Secret History of the Mongols”, Chinggis Khaan was in the first of lunar month of winter in the Year of the Water-Horse (1162). Thursday the 12^th November will also be a public holiday in Mongolia.
