Mrs.
Hillary Clinton, the U.S Secretary of State, has promised Foreign Minister G.
Zandanshatar that she would visit Mongolia at a convenient time. They talked on
the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Hanoi last week.
Zandanshatar invited Mrs. Clinton to pay Mongolia a visit in 2011–the year of
celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mongolia”s national freedom movement and
the 90th anniversary of the People”s Revolution. He emphasized that a visit by
Mrs. Clinton would greatly help widen and strengthen Mongolia-USA cooperation. 

Mrs. Clinton thanked
him for the invitation and promised a visit. She congratulated Mongolia on the
20th anniversary of Mongolian democracy and on leading the League of Democratic
Nations (LDN) from 2011. The USA will render support to Mongolia in its work at
the League.
