The Mongolian Parliament approved the “City Tax Law” at a meeting on 19^th June 2015; this law comes into force from today, 1^st October. Under this new law, people will to pay a 1% tax, when being served in such places as hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars.

The tax will also be levied whenever people buy alcoholic beverages, and tobacco.
