At the currency auction, held on the 25th August, the commercial banks requested to buy USD 12.6 million at an exchange rate of MNT 1984,55-1989,10, and CNY 38,7 million for MNT 306,70-309,10. The Bank of Mongolia accepted these requests, and supplied CNY 24,2 million for a closing price of MNT 308,00 and USD 8,6 million for a closing price of MNT 1987,00.

Also, the commercial banks requested forward swap agreements to buy USD 59,1 million, to buy USD 5 million, and a swap agreement to sell CNY 90 million. The Bank of Mongolia accepted all these requests.
