Joint military training exercises of the Mongolian and Russian Armed Forces are currently taking place on Russian soil. The joint training commenced on 17^th August in the Republic of Buryatia involving troops from the Russian Eastern Military District. The main theme of “Selenge-2015” is “Joint Force Anti-Terrorism Groups near the National Borders”. In addition to counter-terrorist operations Mongolian troops will for the first time be crossing the water barriers with the weapons.
