The Mongolian Parliament is organizing the autumn meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for the Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). This will be held on 15th-18th September in Ulaanbaatar.
As part of the planning, on 19th August, B.Boldbaatar, who is Secretary of the Parliamentary Administration and member of the OSCE National Organizing Commission held a meeting with the diplomatic representatives and the consular offices which are located in Mongolia. The title of the “OSCE Parliament Assembly-autumn meeting” will be ““Addressing Security Challenges for the OSCE region and beyond: the role of parliamentarians in fostering regional co-operation”. During the meeting, the following sessions will be discussed:
Regional security; fighting terrorism; human trafficking the role of the OSCE and regional cooperation
Economic challenges in the region; food security; disaster risk reduction and water management: cooperation with international organizations.
Development of democratic institutions, human rights, freedom of speech, religious tolerance, gender equality
Currently, 248 representatives from the 41 countries will be attending the Ulaanbaatar Meeting. In total, OSCE has 57 member countries and 11 partnership countries.
