In July 2015, no new cases of HIV/AIDS were registered; on average one or two cases are identified every month. To date, 188 cases of HIV-AIDS have been registered in Mongolia. In the first seven months of 2015, however, cases of other infectious diseases cases increased to 42894, which is twice as many as for the same period last July. The reason of the sharp increase is the 21568 people who were infected with rubella virus during the epidemic earlier in this year.

Other positive news is that hepatitis virus infections fell by 27.7% and mumps disease by 74.3%.
