Yesterday, the Legal Standing Committee discussed the "Amnesty Law" in a final closed session, following which it was the subject of debate in the Mongolian Parliament, which has currently been recalled from the summer recess. The debate ended with the law being approved.

Also, today the legal standing committee formed a commission to implement the “Amnesty Law” at 09.30am. As a result of the meeting, the chief of the legal standing committee D.Ganbat will head the commission. The other members of the commission are Members of Parliament  O.Baasankhuu, Su.Batbold, and Ts.Oyungerel. During the meeting, O.Baasankhuu and Ts.Oyungerel suggested that the representatives of the Lawyers’ Federation and the Chairman of the Police must be involved in the commission. The members of the legal standing committee accepted this suggestion.
