A note to: Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Party M.Enkhbold
Secretary General J.Munkhbat
Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Party Group in the Parliament S.Byambatsogt
The Mongolian People’s Party (MPP), which had been working as the opposition party, established a co-operation agreement with the Government in accordance with the offer from the Mongolian Democratic Party (MDP) in order to overcome the economical crisis, improve the Electoral Law, the Political Party Law, and to solve other problems of State. But, for some time the Executive Commission of the Democratic Party has been planning to dismiss the MPP from the Government, under the pretext of poor execution of contractual obligations. During all this time, leadership of the MPP has not express any political position whatsoever, but has just continued working passively in accordance with the (MDP) contract. Therefore, it is high time to draw attention to the poor impressions the MPP has made on the Mongolian people. To quote: “The Mongolian People’s Party is just a weak institution which works for seats in governmental seats and does not have any political ability”.
Therefore, we are strongly requesting you to take some bold steps immediately, which will be beneficial in improving the results of the “2016 – Parliamentary Election”. To implement this we recommend the following:
to introduce much more transparency in financing, charity work, income and party expenses in order to become perceived as a “Transparency Party” and get the support of the Mongolian people
To organize the 3rd Ad Hoc meeting of the MPP immediately
To inform and discuss the working reports of the Ministers, and Deputy Ministers (ed. Who are currently being dismissed) at the Ad Hoc MPP meeting.
Not to allow the laws to be passed, which will cause hardship and aggravation to the Mongolian people, for example: “Economical Transparency Law”, “Criminal Law”(the draft version of which defends criminals etc.
To accomplish works in order to approve the essential and necessary laws, including the “Election Law” and others.
